Path of Titans has just released its big Night Stalker update, with major additions to dinosaur combat, new abilities, and continued visual upgrades. The team at Alderon Games has a new devblog with details on the update and what we can expect in the future.
While Path of Titans has gotten continued updates and tweaks, Night Stalker is the first big content update like this in a while. It is available to those with the Founder’s Edition. When it comes to running a dinosaur survival MMO there are a lot of things you have to bring together. With the new update, they have updated the visuals and animations of a number of the creatures in the game, paying particular attention to bringing some of their older creatures in line with newer ones.
So how about that combat? With the title of the update being Night Stalker, you can guess that night time abilities are front and center here. Midnight Hunter and Night Stalker (the ability) are two of the new ones added, in addition to one called The Call of the Night Terrors, which boosts damage, speed, and stamina recovery for the Latenivenatrix. All of these are designed to up the risk and make night combat more viable and even more common.
Those aren't the only abilities added in the update, as there are several others, some targeted towards particular dinosaurs like the stegosaurus or the ceratosaurus, but there's also a new ability for all swimming dinosaurs called Nictitating Membrane that helps them see more clearly underwater for an advantage.
There are also new effects for eating fish and similar creatures under the Fisher diet. For example, is such a dinosaur ate turtles, they’d get a temporary armor boost.
