Screen Rant has the exclusive first Panama trailer and poster revealing the action-thriller starring Mel Gibson from Crank director Mark Neveldine. The film centers on CIA operative Stark as he enlists the help of ex-marine James Becker to complete an arms deal for the government with contras in the titular South American region. In the process, Becker finds himself involved in the U.S.' invasion of Panama and learns a lesson about the true nature of political power.
Mel Gibson and Cole Hauser lead the cast of Panama alongside Charlie Weber, Jackie Cruz, Kate Katzman, Victor Turpin, Mauricio Henao and Simon Phillips. Development on the action-thriller was first announced in late 2019 when Morgan Freeman and Frank Grillo signed on to star with Daniel Adams co-writing and directing the film, though would undergo a major change a year later as Gibson, Hauser and Neveldine all signed on for their respective positions. Filming on Panama kicked off in Puerto Rico in January 2021 and a year after wrapping, audiences are getting their first glimpse at the thriller.
