That said, one pervasive issue plaguing the game at the moment seems to be drawing the attention and ire of the developers, and it's not exactly a place that most players are even aware of or care about. PC version on Steam gives players access to official servers hosted by devs — which, at the time of writing, seems to be infested with hackers and cheaters exploiting the game.
According to a Pocketpair post on Steam, currently, users are unable to connect to official servers due to malicious actions by third parties. The creators of the game plan to address the issue as a priority in development. To do so, the company will release a player list function at the end of February, which will help identify cheaters. also plans to introduce an external anti-cheat solution, something many PC players are typically against due to the level of permissions required for them to perform properly. Importantly, however, this will be an optional choice on community, single-player, and co-op servers.
