Ozark co-creator Mark Williams talks potential spinoffs for the hit Netflix series after it ends with the fourth and final season. Created with Bill Dubuque, the crime drama centers on Marty Byrde, a financial advisor also working for a Mexican drug cartel who is forced to move his family to the titular Missouri region in an effort to make amends with the cartel in a new laundering scheme, where they will also deal with local crime families the Langmores and Snells and the Kansas City mafia. Jason Bateman and Laura Linney lead the cast of Ozark alongside Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner, Julia Garner, Jordana Spiro, Charlie Tahan, Lisa Emery, Jessica Frances Dukes, Felix Solis and Alfonso Herrera.
Ozark season 4 picks up from the season 3 cliffhanger finale as the Byrdes reel from Helen being killed by Omar Navarro and must once again work to get in his good graces by convincing the FBI to make a deal for him to retire with immunity and be granted the ability to travel freely between the U.S. and Mexico. Meanwhile, Ruth Langmore enters into a new partnership with Darlene Snell to build up her heroin empire while the Byrde kids struggle to figure out their futures after getting out from under the cartel's thumb. Since its premiere in 2017, Ozark has been a hit with Netflix, receiving increasingly positive reviews with each season and earning 32 Emmy nominations, winning two for Outstanding Supporting Actress for Garner and one for Outstanding Direction for Bateman.
