She is set to appear next in Netflix's upcoming miniseries, Inventing Anna, which will premiere on February 11, 2022.
Inventing Anna is a highly anticipated true crime drama series based on Jessica Pressler’s New York article, “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People." The upcoming series will investigate the real-life case of infamous scammer Anna Sorokin (a.k.a. Anna Delvey). Garner will star in the lead role of Delvey, a woman who posed as a German heiress to steal millions from New York's elite society. However, Delvey's scheme of «faking it till you make it» backfired, and she ended up arrested and imprisoned for multiple charges of theft and larceny. Now, Garner will be taking on the role of the faux German heiress in an attempt to give viewers an in-depth look into Delvey's story.

In a video released by Netflix, Garner broke down the accent and fashion that she utilized to bring Delvey to life. Garner admitted that Delvey's accent comes across as "odd" the first time one hears it. The reason for its oddness is that Delvey, in real-life, was a Russian girl, mimicking a German accent, that sometimes needed to be more Americanized or Europeanized depending on her company.
