Overwatch 2 with new hero Junker Queen goes free to play on October 4
Despite the concerns of players, Blizzard has announced that Overwatch 2 will be fully playable as a free to play game when it launches in October. It’s a big announcement, coming out of the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022. Not only did Blizzard and parent company Microsoft reveal the launch, but also a new hero. The Junker Queen is the next hero coming to Overwatch 2, and she’s taking an attitude with her.
Blizzard didn’t give the Junker Queen hero a full showing with the latest trailer. However, the company did drop some info on her as the show was going. According to a press release, Junker Queen is a new tank hero for Overwatch 2. She carries with her a shotgun, as well as a large battle ax that she can probably throw and recall. So, she’s pulling a Thor? Anyway, one of her abilities allows her to dart forward while spinning the ax, which looks good for both damage and mobility.
