The PlayStation Store kicked off a new Mid-Year Deals promotion on Wednesday.
Running until 23.59pm (local time) on July 6, it currently includes discounts on over 650 products, including full games and DLC packs.
According to Sony, the promotion offers savings of up to 75% on selected PlayStation games.
Titles available in the sale include Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice for $29.99/£29.99 (50% off), the PS4 version of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands for $47.99/£47.99 (20% off), Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for $23.99/£23.99 (60% off) and the PS5 version of FIFA 22 for $20.99/£20.99 (70% off).
It was reported earlier this week that Sony appears to be in the process of discontinuing PlayStation Plus retail cards to coincide with the ongoing rollout of its revamped PlayStation Plus service.
While stores have traditionally sold PlayStation Plus cards offering one, three and 12-month memberships, it looks like they are no longer being restocked by third-party retailers, many of which are now only offering PlayStation Store gift cards which players can use to credit their accounts.
The move would appear logical given the increased number of price points now available when signing up to the new three-tier service, which recently launched in the US and Asia, and is set to arrive in Europe, Australia and New Zealand on June 23.
Earlier this week Sony became the latest big name to confirm it won’t be attending Gamescom 2022.
Nintendo, Activision Blizzard and Take-Two have also said they will not attend this year’s event, which is due to take place in August and will be Gamescom’s first in-person show since the coronavirus pandemic.
