During the main quest in Outward, you will eventually leave Cierzo and join a faction. There are four main factions that you can join, all with a variety of benefits. If your struggling to pick a faction to join, you've come to the right place.

In this guide, we are going to go over the benefits of joining each faction. This will include rewards that the faction will provide, as well as the location and the city they are located in. First, let's take a look at how to join a faction for the first time.
Joining a faction can be done through the main quest titled Looking To The Future. For this quest, Rissa Aberdeen will task you with going to a city and joining a faction. From here, you can either head to the Enmerkar Forest, the Hallowed Marsh, or the Abrassar.
Once you make it to one of these locations and head to the main city, you simply need to complete a few quests to join the faction. You are only allowed to join one faction at a time, but you are able to venture to other cities and complete additional quests for other factions.
It's important to know that the base game will have three factions available, but with the Soroboreans DLC, you will be able to join the Sorobor Academy. We will go over the benefits of joining this faction, but it will not be available if you do not have the DLC.
This is the largest faction in the game, with an HQ in Berg. The Blue Chamber Collective prioritizes family, and prefers not to kill enemies; this includes criminals who have wronged the faction. Rather than being sentenced to death, the Collective will exile them.
