Minecraft contains many enemy creatures which are mostly cubic recreations of recognizable creatures and monsters, but the game’s blocky visuals take the edge of what could be incredibly creepy designs. But now a Reddit user named Roman Khramov has created a diorama which translates some of these monster designs, along with the player character, Steve, into a more realistic visual style. Roman’s diorama shows Steve attacking one of Minecraft’s spider-riding skeletons, with realistically stylized designs that show off many creepy details that are lost in Minecraft’s blocky visuals.
The diorama conveys details that will be recognizable to Minecraft players, although they may have only seen them before in Minecraft's iconic in-game art style, such as the flowers on the ground, or the diamond pickaxe wielded by Steve. But Roman Khramov’s diorama also adds many details that could never be depicted in Minecraft's blocky visuals, such as the individual blades of grass, or the creepy hairs applied to the spider’s body.
