Josh Brolin stars as a rancher fighting for his family in the first trailer for Outer Range, Prime Video's new western-mystery series. Brolin first gave audiences a taste of his enigmatic western charm in the Coen Brothers' No Country For Old Men, but has otherwise also enjoyed an impressive and lengthy on-screen career. The actor has taken on a number of high-profile roles in recent years, from Cable in Deadpool 2, to Gurney Halleck in Dune and Thanos in the MCU, just to name a few.
Outer Range was created by playwright Brian Watkins, which was initially a spec script bought by Amazon, then developed and shot throughout the height of the pandemic. The show follows Brolin's patriarch, Royal Abbott, as he tries to protect his family and his land from a rival ranch. It will also look to uncover the mystery of a mysterious metaphysical void that has appeared on Abbott's property without explanation, sparking a chain of events that unravel secrets of the past and mysteries of the future. Outer Range also stars Lily Taylor, Imogen Poots, Lewis Pullman, Tamara Podemski, Tom Pelphrey, Shaun Sipos, Isabel Arraiza, Olive Abercrombie, Will Patton, and Noah Reid.
