Oscar Issac reveals a hilarious prank he pulled on Dune director Denis Villeneuve after filming his nude scene. The Guatemalan-American actor is known for his roles across numerous film franchises, including Poe Dameron in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, the titular villain in X-Men: Apocalypse, and Miguel O'Hara in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Issac will also be making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut next month in Disney+'s Moon Knight as Marc Spector, a mercenary suffering from dissociative identity disorder who becomes a conduit for the Egyptian god Khonshu.
Villeneuve is a visionary director known for his collection of critically-acclaimed films like Prisoners, Enemy, Sicario, Arrival, and Blade Runner 2049. The first part of his adaptation of Frank Herbert's seminal science-fiction novel from 1965 released last fall, grossing $400 million worldwide despite its dual release on HBO Max. Less than a week after its domestic debut, Warner Bros. greenlit a Dune 2 and set it for an October 2023 release. In the film, Issac plays Leto, the Duke of House Atreides who is bestowed with the stewardship of Arrakis. He is also the father of the primary protagonist Paul (Timothée Chalamet) and husband to Bene Gesserit acolyte Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson).
