The popular Settled Systems Economy Overhaul (SSEO) mod aims to ground players in a future where denizens of the galaxy need to fight for their survival, tweaking the economy to make end-game items more valuable and quests more rewarding. The add-on proved so successful that creator Willal212 has gone so far as to remaster it with some major upgrades.
Posting to Reddit, Willal212 revealed that the improved SSEO will feature everything from the base mod alongside several major improvements, includingthe ability to "" as a means of generating extra cash.
The feature, when coupled with additional mods that introduce demand-and-supply price changes, should go a long way to creating an authentic «space trucker» simulator. Civilian ships can now also be looted for the aforementioned shipments, allowing those who want to feel the rush of space piracy to get their hands dirty and steal some goods.
The additions mentioned above are the major upgrades that should have a transformative impact on but there are a handful of smaller tweaks to make the game's economy more realistic. Privately owned stores will charge more for their premium goods but they also pay extra for items deemed valuable, allowing players to weigh up their options when it comes to trading. Furthering that idea, larger organizations will be able to spend more money on the player's items; The Trade Authority has plenty of credits to throw around but small outposts on desolate planets need to conserve their cash.
