The Resident Evil series has been a staple of the horror genre since gamers first laid eyes on the original way back in 1996. Even with its cheesy B-movie storyline, and comically wooden acting, or perhaps because of it, the Resident Evil series has become one of the most influential horror game franchises in history, spawning a series of sequels, reboots, remakes, and spin-offs. Village is the latest installment in the series, which has seen the modern take on the games go from strength to strength, and now it seems fans are, once again, hoping for some DLC to be announced.
Recently, a post was uploaded to the official Resident Evil account, which doesn't give any information away, but is leaving fans guessing as to what it could be in relation to. The tweet itself contains nothing but a picture of everyone's favorite 9ft antagonist Lady Dimitrescu, along with the phrase «a rat can't run from the dragon's claws!» The caption is a direct quote from the vampire lady herself, who utters it during an encounter with Ethan Winters. Other than that, there is nothing to go on, but it doesn't seem to stop the fan base.
Capcom Countdown Could Be Teasing Resident Evil Village DLC Reveal
Some in the comments are certain, or at least hoping, that this rather ambiguous tweet refers to some as-yet-unannounced DLC for Resident Evil Village, which players have been hoping for pretty much since the game came out last May. At the time of writing, there has been no official word from Capcom about whether there is any new content coming to the game, so all fans really have to go off are high hopes and speculations.
