Last year’s Resident Evil Village looks like it could be coming to Xbox Game Pass in the near future, according to a new rumor. The latest main entry in the long-running Resident Evil franchise was released back on May 7, 2021, and became one of the year’s most popular and talked-about games. It was not only received positively by both players and critics, it also garnered several nominations and awards. RE: Village even won Game of the Year at the annual Steam Awards.
Those who really enjoyed the story and gameplay of Resident Evil Village will have a chance to experience more of it as DLC for the game is already in the works. While publisher and developer Capcom has yet to announce any major details on RE: Village’s DLC, including how many it plans to release and what they will contain, Resident Evil 7’s DLC does give fans a few hints on what could happen. RE 7’s two DLCs were made available about a year after the game was initially released. One was a continuation of the game’s story while the other was a side story starring one of its other characters. Whatever Resident Evil Village’s DLC will end up looking like, Capcom has at least confirmed that RE: Village’s DLC is coming in 2022.
