Have you ever played Noodlecake’s Lumino City, the cute puzzle adventure game? It’s been around for quite a while. Then, why am I talking about it? Well, this pretty ‘lit’ game is now up for grabs at just $0.99. Originally priced at $4.99, it’s already garnered over 11.3k reviews on the Play Store since its release in 2017.
Developed and published by State of Play Games, Lumino City first dropped for PC in December 2014 and then for iOS in October 2015. State of Play Games is known for other adorable titles like KAMI, Lume, South of the Circle and INKS. Later, it was published on Android by Noodlecake Studios in April 2017.
The game is a sequel to Lume, another equally cute puzzler with beautiful visuals. Noodlecake’s Lumino City is a point-and-click puzzle where everything has been handmade with cardboard. Yes, it’s kind of hard to believe when you see the game’s visuals. They’re unique, gorgeous and special (no exaggeration).
You play as Lumi, a girl on a mission to find her missing grandfather. The game keeps you rooted in self-contained or small-area puzzles that are challenging. You point, click and move forward to solve these puzzles. With minimal backtracking, you explore the nooks and corners of Lumino City.
You also meet various intriguing characters on the way, including a musician, a chef and other people who have their own stories to share with you. You also get a bulky 900-page handbook left by your grandpa. It’s crammed with hints disguised as manual texts or math-based formulas that help you solve the puzzles.
So, if you have never played Noodlecake’s Lumino City, now would be the best time to do so. The game’s visuals are like a merry trip down memory lane. Go ahead and grab it from the Google Play Store at $0.99 since it’s a limited-time deal anyway.
