Being the best assassin in all the land is a tough gig. Just ask our, um, hero Travis Touchdown, who’s been slicing and dicing for the last 15 years. The job is far from over, though. Touchdown will shake his beam katana once more when No More Heroes 3 reaches its October release date on PC.
The PC port will be vastly improved over what we saw on the Nintendo Switch. No More Heroes 3 will get “improved HD visuals,” which you can see in action in the new trailer that also arrived today. The port will also have better framerates over the Switch version. On the Nintendo platform, the game would run at 720p and 60 fps for the most part, but could drop significantly in busier segments. There’s no confirmation yet on what kind of graphics options will be available for PC, but the fps should be much improved.
But, for the most part, the PC release of No More Heroes 3 will be the same game. Controls and loading times will be better, but it’s still another zany-ass adventure starring Grasshopper Games’ deadbeat anti-hero. And this time, there are aliens to deal with.
“The legendary assassin Travis Touchdown returns once again to the Garden of Madness! The evil Prince FU, a self-proclaimed superhero from the farthest reaches of the galaxy, has landed on Earth with his sights set on world conquest,” reads the game description. “In order to save humanity, our no-more-hero must fight to rise to the top of the Galactic Superhero Rankings, taking on each of FU’s nine alien henchmen before he can earn a title match against the prince himself.”
