Development is moving swiftly on the WandaVision Agatha Harkness show as it gets a new title and a Winter 2023 release date. Kathryn Hahn made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in the Disney+ series as the titular heroes' nosey neighbor who seemingly knows more than she lets on. By the end of WandaVision, it was ultimately revealed that Agatha had manufactured many of the sinister events in the series and was investigating the Westview incident in the hopes of acquiring Wanda's powers.
The WandaVision spinoff series, which was first announced to be in development this past October, will see Kathryn Hahn reprising her role of the villainous witch while the original show's head writer Jac Schaeffer was reportedly set to return. The series would be confirmed to be in the works the following month, with Hahn having signed an overall deal with Marvel Studios to return in multiple projects and the show given the title Agatha: House of Harkness. Hahn and Marvel have kept their lips mostly sealed on the project, though now have an enticing update for fans of the character.

A few months after the show was revealed to be in development, Marvel Studios has revealed a new title for the WandaVision spinoff show at San Diego Comic-Con. The series, entitled Agatha: Coven of Chaos, has been set for a Winter 2023 release date on Disney+. The WandaVision spinoff's release date was included in the MCU's Phase 5 calendar, which also indicated that the series will pour over into 2024.
