Based on a report from idropnews, it is said that Apple is considering killing the iPhone 11 internally. No concrete reasons are given behind this decision but it seems the iPhone 11’s lifecycle is over. Moreover, the report says this old iPhone has been giving its newbie iPhone SE more competition than it ever wanted. In fact, the iPhone 11 has sold more than average ever since the new iPhone SE was announced.
Apple is yet to make this decision official but based on the past, the iPhone 11 has been around for a long time now. Apple usually keeps any main generation iPhone around for almost three years before pulling the plug. And, with the iPhone 14 around the corner, it only makes sense for Apple to discontinue to the iPhone 13 and bring down the iPhone 12 to its place.
Over the course of its life, the iPhone 11 has seen mega price drops and hikes as well. Currently, it carries a price tag just shy of Rs. 50,000 in India and is one of the few iPhone models to be manufactured locally as well.
