Xiaomi 12 Pro undercuts the iPhone 13 and Samsung Galaxy S22 with its pricing in India! The Xiaomi 12 Pro is the company's proper flagship offering, making it second most expensive phone it has ever sold in India. The phone was launched originally in December 2021 in China and its global variant reached international markets in March 2022. It now arrives in India as another Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship in the Indian smartphone space.
Before we head into the specs, here is a look at the pricing. The Xiaomi 12 Pro starts at Rs. 62,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. There is another variant with 12GB RAM that will set you back by Rs. 66,999. The phone will go on sale from May 2 via Mi.com, Mi Home Stores, and Amazon. As part of the launch offers, the Xiaomi 12 Pro is coming with a cashback offer of Rs. 6,000 for ICIC Bank cardholders. Additionally, there is an introductory price cut of Rs. 4,000, bringing down the price further to Rs. 52,999, if you combine both these offers for the base variant.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro comes to India in the three colours from the global model -- Blue, Grey and Purple. The phone brings a big design change from last year's Mi 11. The display gets Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
The phone is based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone ships with MIUI 13 based on Android 12, which makes this the first Xiaomi phone to come with Android 12. Xiaomi has promised three years of Android OS updates and four years of security support.
