New World is giving a rundown on the PvP rewards track revamp coming in Season 2: Blood of the Sands.
The details come in a brand new episode of Forged in Aeternum, where the dev team looks at how player feedback has inspired some of the changes coming in the Season 2 PVP update, and they also get into a bit of the design of the brand new 3v3 Arenas map that's on the way.
Recently, they've addressed how some of the rewards are going to be designed for more consistency. This also extends to making sure that the rewards continue to be useful, regardless of what level of Season Pass you are on, in addition to adding some different rewards into the mix.
Among the details we get for what we might expect from the rewards track, new possibilities include emotes, Prestige jewelry, and Prestige weapons and armor at 600 gear score. These changes join the general Season Pass reward changes, where each season has themes, and the rewards fit those themes. One of the humorous examples for Blood of the Sands is the Pocket Sand emote on the way.
For PVP, earning yourself some new gear, is a no-brainer, and the categories of gear this time are the Predator Weapons, and new armor sets –Grand Overseer, Grand Undertaker, and Grand Dominator–for light, medium, and heavy armor.
