New World Reveals Details on the 2023 Winter Convergence Festival, Including Improved Rewards
It’s almost time again for the Winter Convergence Festival in New World. The team previews this year’s event, with changes for this year, and how they’ve improved rewards for the icy holiday in Aeternum.
Get ready to celebrate from December 12th through January 9th, 2024. One of the top approaches to this year's event was to make it so that players didn't have to visit so many winter villages in order to get good rewards. so now Gift Piles and Gift Sacks will give more gifts. Piles will now give you four gifts, with items including two White Gypsum and a random holiday food. Sacks will now give three presents. You can interact with three Trees of Light a day and one Gift sack. Eligibility resets at 5AM local time daily.
The Winter Warrior is also back to face in the returning holiday world event for 20+ players. Look throughout the Great Cleave, Brightwood, Edengrove, Ebonscale Reach, and Brimstone Sands to take your chance at taking him and his minions down again. Three times a day, he’ll even drop 15 Dark Matter. Also around the world is an increase in Gleamite meteors all around Aeternum, which you should go and investigate.
As far as rewards go, Winter Villages hold a Holiday Hut within and you can start crafting Winter Tokens to exchange for some goodies of your choice. However, if you increase your overall reputation by participating in holiday quests, gift piles, sacks, finding lost presents, and Gleamite meteors, you’ll unlock even more rewards.
