As July draws near, Peacock is set to reveal its lineup of TV shows and movies coming to the platform next month. From the very start of July, viewers can look forward to a wide assortment of titles scheduled to premiere throughout the month, offering a strong variety of entertainment choices to cater to diverse tastes.
July 27 sees the Season 1 premiere of Twisted Metal, a half-hour live-action TV series based on the vehicular combat PlayStation game series. According to a synopsis, the show is a «high-octane action comedy… about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland.» The show is based on an idea by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and written by Michael Jonathan Smith. The show's cast features Anthony Mackie, Will Arnett, and Stephanie Beatriz as Quiet, a rough-and-tumble car thief. Tahj Vaughans, Chelle Ramos, Michael Carollo, Jared Bankens, Thomas Hayden-Church, Diany Rodriguez, Matthew Rimmer, and Neve Campbell also star.
On a similar wavelength is Myth of the Zodiac Killer, a documentary that «sheds light on America’s most famous cold case by asking a question that no one else has ever dared ask: What if the reason the Zodiac has never been caught...is because he never existed in the first place?» The documentary comes to Peacock on July 11.
