Helldivers 2 patch 01.000.032 has been deployed across PC and PS5, finally fixing damage-over-time (DoTS) effects.
Divers have been reporting issues with DoTs for some time. For some reason, damage was not applied correctly for all players in the squad. A thread on this matter was also posted on the Helldivers Reddit a month ago. The post also contains a video that shows that DoTs aren't applied correctly. Luckily, today's patch fixes this annoying issue, thereby making various builds very viable. "We have fixed issues with the way Damage-over-time effects were being applied", the official release notes for this patch mention. "This should fix issues where only the network session owner could apply them, and other cases where they would be applied inconsistently."
In addition to fixing the DoT effects issue, this new patch also addresses an issue with some weapon scopes not aligning in first-person view. Also included are various fixes for crashes, and social menu issues alongside weapon and enemy tweaks. We suggest reading the full release notes for Helldivers 2 patch 01.000.032 patch here.
Helldivers 2 is available worldwide now for PC and PlayStation 5. Today's patch is the first update after the now-canceled mandatory PSN account linking update. "Firstly, I am impressed by the willpower of the helldivers2 community and your ability to collaborate", Arrowhead's CEO and Creative Director Johan Pilestedt wrote yesterday. "Secondly I want to thank our partners and friends at PlayStation for quickly and effectively making the decision to leave PSN linking optional. We together want to set a new standard for what a live game is, and how developers and community can support each other to create the best game experiences."
