Despite the game just hitting its eighth anniversary, Blizzard has been able to keep Hearthstone alive in the hearts of fans through intriguing tabletop gameplay and a healthy dose of expansions. Soon, the Voyage to the Sunken City expansion for Hearthstone will bring fans a fresh cast of characters with a set of over 135 new cards that will be ready to use on April 12th in North America and April 13th for Australia and New Zealand.
From the list of new characters in Hearthstone comes an exclusive look at one of the powerful sea monsters, courtesy of an exclusive interview the developers had with IGN. This colossal card called «Nellie, the Great Thresher» is now one of the biggest monsters in the game. Nellie takes up two whole cards, each with its own stats and abilities.

This card showcases the new Colossal Creature feature being implemented into Hearthstone. When cards are indicated with «Colossal +x,» they summon an extra appendage into battle. The extra appendage compliments the main monster card, giving gamers different advantages in the battle. When players summon the first Nellie card, the extra card called «Nellie's Pirate Ship» is summoned with a 2/6 taunt shield for only seven mana.
Part of what makes Nellie so powerful is its battle cry ability. Nellie is able to summon three separate discover pirate minion cards. On top of that, they are also added as a death rattle reward for when Nellie's Pirate Ship falls. So when that card is destroyed, they are added to the player's hand and cost only one mana each to summon. This gives players the ability to deal massive amounts of damage to their opponent for a low mana value.
