is one of her generation’s most talented and recognizable filmmakers. She accumulated four Oscar nods for her last three movies, and the latest one, Barbie (2023), even made over $1.4 billion at the global box office. Accordingly, fans became excited when it was announced that she would write and direct multiple cinematic adaptations of The Chronicles of book series by C. S. Lewis for Netflix.
