The return date for MultiVersus has been confirmed!
This doesn't come as a massive surprise, after the Warner Bros game's social media accounts lurched back to life last week.
In case you're not familiar, MultiVersus is a Super Smash Bros-like multiplayer game that sees iconic Warner Bros-owned characters — from Batman to Shaggy from Scooby Doo — battling it out in brightly-coloured arenas.
The official press materials tell us that MultiVersus, which previously had a lengthy early access period, will return «with a new PVE mode, more heroes and personalities added to the roster, additional stages based on reimagined universes and environments, first-class online play, improved visuals and much more».

The MultiVersus return date is 28th May 2024, the publishers from Warner Bros have confirmed.
As for platforms, we're told that MultiVersus «will be available as a free download» on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store).
The press release also promises that MultiVersus will have «full cross-play and cross-progression support» when it returns in May.

Players could still engage in offline play at least, but it was limited to local play or test matches. It's nice to have the return date confirmed now!
