Motorola kickstarted the trend of foldable flip phones in 2019 with the Razr foldable but its lack of top-end features allowed late runners like Samsung and Huawei do better. After the Razr 5G, Motorola said it will deliver the next Razr foldable in 2022 after working a proper sequel. Good news! The Razr 3 specs have leaked and it seems Motorola is going fully loaded to make its way back to the top of this flip phone segment.
No, there's no launch date leaked yet but an unverified source has shared a bunch of specs with XDA Developers, suggesting a total overhaul. Note that this is an unverified leak and hence, you should take this with a pinch of salt. That said, with Motorola already having hinted a new Razr foldable for 2022, there's no harm in checking this out.
The Motorola Razr 3 is said to fix the biggest issues it predecessors had: a proper flagship tier chip. Past Razr models had to make do with Snapdragon 700 series chips in a bid to keep the costs Earthly. This time though, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will be taking over duties in the Razr 3, thereby giving it more power than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and probably the same levels of performance as its 2022 successor.
The Razr 3 is also said to get the UWB technology similar to some modern-day flagship phones. Motorola is likely to provide it with a choice of 6GB, 8GB, and 8GB RAM, as well as 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage. With different variants, Motorola could reach lower prices in a bid to challenge the Samsung Flip models.
