With The Witch Queen expansion only weeks away at this point, Destiny 2 fans have had a constant stream of new information regarding the upcoming changes and content. It appears the momentum that Bungie has built over the past year through its seasonal storytelling and new content has struck a chord with fans as over one million people have already pre-ordered The Witch Queen. Earlier today, a new trailer showed off a number of new toys players will get their hands on, no doubt providing a bit more excitement for the community.
The trailer showcased some of the new exotic gear coming inside of the Witch Queen expansion, including the Grand Overture slug launcher that fires full auto-missiles. A new grenade launcher named Parasite launches hive worms, while an SMG called Osteo Striga fires swarming projectiles that cause a toxic burst of damage on impact. As unique as these weapons are, the trailer also shed light on the upcoming and highly requested crafting feature. Now, Bungie has opened up a bit more on just what players can expect.
How Destiny 2 Nightfall Modifiers are Changing in Season 16
In a recent interview with Game Informer,Destiny 2 creative director James Tsai ran through the process of crafting weapons. Taking place on Mars, a previously vaulted destination, players will be using a relic in order to begin their crafting. The process starts with a pattern, used to create the initial form of the desired weapon. By using it in combat, the weapon gains new levels which allow for further tweaking to things like intrinsic properties, magazine attributes, and much more. Over time, players will also be able to modify perks and core traits.
