The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is a massive open world game with a ton of little details that players may not notice even if they've logged in hundreds of hours. Many fans are revisiting Skyrim in light of the Anniversary Edition launch that officially brings the game to modern consoles, and so some of the game's more hidden details are being given a new spotlight.
One of these details was recently shared by the TikTok channel gamingeastereggs, which showed off a morbid trick that Skyrim players can pull off in Whiterun. As shown in the video, if Skyrim players kill one of Whiterun's citizens, or if they die by other means, the victim will have a burial urn appear in Whiterun's Hall of the Dead after a few days. Skyrim players can let time pass naturally or use the helpful "wait" feature to speed things up.

After enough time has passed, the dead Skyrim NPC will have a burial urn appear in the Hall of the Dead. Players are then table to loot it and take the items that the character had on them at their time of death. It's probably easier to simply loot the corpses of the characters instead, but either way this is an interesting detail that it seems many players didn't notice in their time playing the game.
