The first reactions to Moon Knight are in, and they say Oscar Isaac's Marvel show is original, great, and even silly at times. Kevin Feige originally announced plans to give Moon Knight a Disney+ series in 2019. While it wasn't until much later that Oscar Isaac came aboard to play Marc Spector, Moon Knight immediately stood out as an exciting MCU project. This was due to the combination of Moon Knight's status as a fan-favorite character, his darker tone, his connections to supernatural elements, and the ability to explore mental health due to Marc's disassociative identity disorder.
Anticipation for Moon Knight has only increased over time, especially after Marvel Studios began releasing footage. The Moon Knight trailers have repeatedly highlighted the different personalities Oscar Isaac plays, as well as the brutal action and great visuals that come with Moon Knight. Marvel has kept information about the series a secret, though, as May Calamawy and Ethan Hawke's villain are the only official co-stars for Isaac. That hasn't stopped excitement from continuing to grow ahead of the series' debut on Disney+, and now some early praise is rolling in.
