Marvel unveils a new Moon Knight clip revealing Ethan Hawke's villain using his powers to summon a demon to kill Oscar Isaac's titular hero. Hawke stars in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series as Arthur Harrow, a cult leader associated with the god Ammit who seeks to cleanse the world and views Moon Knight as a hindrance to his plans. The four-time Oscar nominee has said he drew from a number of inspirations for his villainous role, namely infamous cult leader David Koresh, psychiatrist Carl Jung and Nazi scientist Josef Mengele.
Moon Knight will revolve around mild-mannered gift shop employee Steven Grant who begins to learn that his blackouts and sleep problems stem from his having dissociative identity disorder and his true identity being that of mercenary Marc Spector, who has become the conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. In addition to Grant and Spector, the MCU series will feature the Mr. Knight alternate personality, who is a street-level detective donning an all-white suit. Moon Knight is just around the corner and the studio behind the series is looking to keep anticipation high for the next installment in Phase Four of the MCU.
