Activision has released a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 video focused on the game’s weapon customisation system.
In the video, which is viewable below, developers from Infinity Ward detail how the Gunsmith system, which was first introduced in 2019’s Modern Warfare, has been updated for the sequel to offer players more customisation options.
Later today Activision is holding a Call of Duty event which promises to reveal more details about Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2 and Warzone Mobile.
Titled ‘Call of Duty Next’, the event kicks off at 9.30am PT / 12.30pm ET / 5.30pm BST and will be viewable on the official Call of Duty Twitch and YouTube channels.
The Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer beta launches later this week, with PlayStation players receiving first access ahead of Xbox and PC users, who will be able to participate beginning on September 22.
Players looking to take part in the Modern Warfare 2 beta can do so by pre-ordering the game.
Activision is also offering early Modern Warfare 2 campaign access to those who pre-order the digital version of the game through the Xbox and PlayStation stores, as well as Battle.net and Steam on PC.
Campaign early access will go live on October 20 – more than a week before of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 release date of October 28.
