The Call of Duty franchise has gone through many iterations of its user interface over the years, but the latest batch might not be all that popular, it seems.
While the user interface is often overlooked in video games' promotional materials, pulling this feature off properly is incredibly important to keep players immersed. According to some beta access players, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 isn't doing all too hot in this respect, and Infinity Ward should consider reworking the whole thing ahead of the game's launch date.

This year's COD seems remarkably promising in many respects, such as the way Modern Warfare 2 handles its movement system, for example, but not everything is perfect according to beta players. Reddit user tactikz4 said that they had never been quite as confused by a video game interface as they are with Modern Warfare 2's UI, with many others agreeing with this assessment, going so far as to suggest that Infinity Ward should overhaul the whole thing before the game comes out later this year.
Others were more specific in their critique, with Skysflies posting on Reddit how they strongly dislike the game's insistence on using horizontal menu options instead of traditional, vertically-oriented UI.
