With the arrival of MLB The Show 22 nearing its launch date, San Diego Studio continued its weekly stream to highlight several new details on some of the game's most-anticipated modes. This week, Road To The Show Podcast host Ben Gellman joined one of the game's Legends roster member Joe Mauer for a 30-minute stream on Twitch and YouTube.
With less than two weeks to go before MLB The Show 22 hits the shelves, Gellman and Mauer, and many others, discuss aspects of the Road To The Show mode. Mauer, the 2010 and 2011 MLB The Show cover athlete, was one of the first members of the Legends roster, along with teammate, Justin Morneau.
MLB The Show 22 Premiere Showcases March To October Features
Mauer is joining the team on MLB The Show 22 to provide analysis and narrative, giving fans of the game insight from a professional level. He is the first catcher in the franchise's history to step into this role, joining Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. and MLB Network Host Lauren Shehadi, and will deliver tips and tricks in video format that will play during a player's adventure in the Road To The Show mode. Also featured on the narrative team are familiar faces like MLB Network Insider Jon Paul Morosi MLB Network Host Robert Flores, providing different perspectives that will follow a player's journey throughout their experience. Rachel Balkovec, a minor league manager for the New York Yankees, will add additional batting tips in-game, a role she's very familiar with as a former hitting coach.
