An inspired Turning Red fan managed to recreate Mei Lee's bedroom with the baked-in tools featured in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Unsurprisingly, this does not mark the first time the acclaimed Disney/Pixar film has made its way into Animal Crossing via fan-made creations. A couple of weeks ago, players brought Turning Red characters to life through ACNH cosplay in-game, with all four leading characters - Priya, Mei, Miriam, and Abby — receiving representation.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons launched digitally and at retail a little over two years ago for the Nintendo Switch. Since then, creative users around the globe have found ways to recreate their favorite pop culture touchstones with in-game design tools. Players were able to kick things up a notch in this regard late last year when Nintendo rolled out ACHN's Happy Home Paradise DLC, a paid expansion that tasks players with designing dream vacation homes for various villagers. As a result, vacation homes have been rendered to look like everything from a Stardew Valley farm and Frasier's Seattle apartment to Hogwarts Great Hall and the Raccoon City Police Department from Resident Evil. Of course, Pixar's Turning Red has inspired several new designs in its own right.

Reddit user hk9yearolds recently shared a screenshot of their Turning Red-inspired Animal Crossing: New Horizons build. The design in question recreates Mei's bedroom from the hit Pixar animated film, complete with flowery wallpaper and a wooden side table.
