Since Animal Crossing: New Horizons released in 2020, players have been recreating different scenes from movies and other games in the life simulator. Franchises such as Jurassic Park and Minecraft have been inspirations for Animal Crossing: New Horizons players who have transformed their islands or houses to fit the different themes. Now, one player has taken inspiration from the Pixar film Turning Red for their room.
Turning Red stars a young girl named Meilin «Mei» Lee, a 13-year-old Chinese student who is torn between being her mother's dutiful daughter and the wildness of adolescence. As Mei deals with changes to her interests, relationships, and body, she must also deal with a condition that causes her to turn into a giant red panda whenever she gets too excited. One gamer has taken Mei's room from the film and recreated it in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
