One of the best sports franchises on the market is MLB The Show. That doesn't mean that players don't have a wishlist for changes to the annual product. One of the most common of these demands is an easier method of changing positions. Unfortunately, MLB The Show 22 didn't deliver that this year.

So are players stuck playing whatever position they initially selected? Not quite. Thanks to some investigative work from the community, gamers who want to make a change in MLB The Show 22 aren't entirely hosed. There isn't a big button for it (maybe next year, right?), but those committed to moving around the diamond can pull it off.
The agent isn't on-demand but he is a valuable asset. Once every few months he'll check in to see how the player is doing. Sometimes it's just about playing time, possible trades, and contracts. But once every year or so, the player can tell the agent that the position just isn't quite right for them.

They will relay this news to the management team. The new crew in the booth will occasionally comment about any potential friction this may cause. But if there is a spot on the roster and the player's OVR is high enough, usually management will comply.
The most friendly way to change positions occurs early on. The minor league manager will offer gamers a chance to play out of position for a bit and see how they like it. This is usually good for all parties since the new position is one that is needed by the major league ballclub.
