When MLB The Show 22 makes its full debut on April 5, the latest entry in San Diego Studio’s series will pick up where 2021’s installment left off. That’s because the game, which stars Los Angeles Angels’ Shohei Ohtani, will launch on more platforms than the studio’s traditional PlayStation heartlands. Following renegotiated contract talks in 2019, in order to keep its exclusive rights to MLB’s stars, stadiums, and teams, the sport’s governing body has mandated that Sony needs to make The Show available on as many platforms as possible.
