Minecraft Dungeons, the aptly-titled dungeon crawler spinoff from the creative sandbox game Minecraft, popped up on the gaming scene in 2020 to indulge fans with a more enemy-oriented experience. Mojang Studios, the developers of Minecraft Dungeons, has shown it has plenty more new ideas to expand on the procedurally-generated crawler with its newest reveal: the Luminous Night pack.
Since its release, Minecraft Dungeons has been adding new seasonal expansions such as the Cloudy Climbs Adventure pass. Typically, a new expansion for the roguelike puts a specific biome in the spotlight, but now it seems that native «mobs» will take center stage with an illuminating color palette.
Minecraft Dungeons Details 'The Cloudy Climb' Update
The mob-heavy play style for Minecraft Dungeons’ second Seasonal Adventure re-imagines the Tower as a dark platform surrounded by glowing features and mobs, evoking a similar style to bioluminescent creatures that light up in the dark. The official announcement teases players with screenshots of familiar-looking mobs dolled up with striking colors from the entire spectrum. These new additions also add fuel to the demands from players asking for a Minecraft Dungeons Custom Map Feature just like the vanilla game, so creative players can design their own maps and biomes to their heart's content.
Player customization will be receiving the same colorful add-ons, with skins to decorate avatars in a neon glow and flairs to light up the blackness of the terrifying Tower.
