A new trailer for Mika and The Witch’s Mountain has been released, showing off plenty of what is easily the cutest parcel delivery game with a young witch in it – quite a specific category. Mika and The Witch’s Mountain is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC sometime later in 2023. By October, if everything goes to plan.
Mika and The Witch’s Mountain blends together Ghilbi-esque animation and Kiki’s Deliver Service in particular with a small Zelda-like adventure in a sandbox world. You’ll be picking up delivery jobs and taking them to their destination on broomstick, but there will also be side quests for petting kittens and Zelda-like dungeons, though these will be completely combat free. Just because there’s no combat doesn’t mean there can’t be some kind of big mystery and story to reveal, though!
While it was announced last year, Mika and The Witch’s Mountain by Chibig made its way through a Kickstarter campaign last month, easily surpassing the team’s modest goal to accrue over €1.3 million. That allowed the team to promise a number of stretch goals, like those aforementioned dungeons, though we’ll see if that has a knock on effect on their goal of releasing the game in October 2023.
