The franchise turns 30 this year, and Netflix has prepared a special to celebrate the anniversary. Here’s when to watch the reunion special.
Netflix will release at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Wednesday, April 19. The reunion special will feature the return of Steve Cardenas as Rocky DeSantos/ Red Ranger, Walter Jones as Zack Taylor/ Black Ranger, David Yost as Billy Cranston/ Blue Ranger, and Catherine Sutherland as Katherine Hillard/ Pink Ranger, with Barbara Goodson as the voice of Rita Repulsa. They will also be joined by Charlie Kersh, who has been tapped to play Trini Kwan/ Yellow Ranger’s daughter.
“The Rangers come face to face with a familiar threat from the past,” reads the synopsis. “In the midst of a global crisis, they are called on once again to be the heroes the world needs. Inspired by the legendary mantra from the franchise ‘Once a Ranger, Always a Ranger,’ Once & Always reminds everyone when you become a Ranger, you are always a part of the Ranger family and always welcome.”
originally premiered in 1993, adapting stock footage from the Japanese TV series . Following its premiere, the series became a cultural phenomenon, spawning a vast line of toys, action figures, and more, as well as a litany of spin-offs and films based on the series. The original series ran for a total of three seasons and 145 episodes before coming to an end in 1995.
