Over the course of the last few years, Mike Flanagan has become one of the defining forces in cinematic horror. From his thrillers such as Hush and Ouija: Origin of Evil to his Stephen King adaptations like Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep, he has proven his ability to balance dark subject matter with populist entertainment. In recent years, he has become a frequent fixture in the Netflix space, delivering thrills with projects such as The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and last year’s Midnight Mass. His next project, The Fall of the House of Usher, will be an anthology based on the works of Edgar Allen Poe and feature a cast of familiar collaborators, as well as newcomers to the Flanagan universe including Mark Hamill and Frank Langella.
