Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Looks Great Compared to the Original in First In-Game Images

After many years of rumors, KONAMI finally unveiled Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater at the PlayStation Showcase that aired last night.

This is said to be a faithful remake of the third installment in the mainline series when it comes to story and game design, while the survival gameplay will be enhanced in various ways alongside the graphics and sound. KONAMI also confirmed that the remake would feature the original voice characters, though it doesn't sound like they are being called back to make new recordings.

The publisher announced the game with a CGI trailer, which was a bit disappointing to fans. However, it later shared a few in-game screenshots of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, and YouTuber Cycu1 compared them to Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD Edition. The difference is staggering at times, though it's not that surprising considering that the original game was originally launched on PlayStation 2.
