A PS4 version of the upcoming Final Fantasy XVI was in development at some stage, although getting it up to snuff would have added years of dev time, producer Naoki Yoshida has revealed.
In an interview with Final Fantasy Union, Yoshida said on the matter: «What I can say is that while developing, we originally had a plan to release the game on PlayStation 4 possibly.
