Fans of Marvel's Spider-Man have compared the open-world title's suits to Marvel's Avengers, which features its own wardrobe of arachnid attire. Insomniac Games put a new spin on the wall-crawler's world in Marvel's Spider-Man, delivering an authentic open-world adaptation of Peter Parker's alter ego. Meanwhile, Marvel's Avengers released Spider-Man on PlayStation in November 2021, adding the hero to the multiplayer title's roster.
Upon release in 2018, Marvel's Spider-Man was met by praise from fans of both the web-slinging vigilante and open-world games. Set in an amazing recreation of New York City, the game strives to make players feel like Spider-Man through fun traversal, in-depth combat and an emotional storyline. Meanwhile, Crystal Dynamics' 2020 title Marvel's Avengers was much more divisive upon release.
