Warning: contains spoilers for Avengers #54!
The newest Avenger in Marvel Comics, the Star Brand, has already sacrificed what makes her unique. The Avengers recently confronted a new Masters of Evil, culled from across the multiverse, and when Star Brand used her powers in the battle, she suddenly aged from a little kid to a young woman—in effect robbing her of everything that made her unique, as seen in Avengers #54, on sale now in print and digital.

The Avengers brought the child back to Earth for safekeeping, and as little more than an infant, proved invaluable in stopping Phil Coulson and the Squadron Supreme in the last year’s Heroes Reborn event. Since then, the Avengers have been keeping an uneasy eye on Brandy, not sure what to expect next. Avengers #54 is written by Jason Aaron, illustrated by Juan Frigeri, colored by David Curiel and lettered by Cory Petit.
