Marvel’s Midnight Suns next DLC character is going to be Storm, and today Firaxis Games released a brand new gameplay video showcasing her abilities. That includes her basic attacks such as Arc, which is a chain lightning strike, as well as her passive that has 10% of applying stun to enemies. One of her best abilities is Stormshield which applies 2 Resist and 1 Counter to all allies. If it remains unplayed, Storm gains resist each turn.
Storm has even more powerful cards like Goddess’ Blessing, which allows her to draw one card. Then the next turn mechanic kicks in allowing Storm cards to be played, even if it is not yet the Heroes turn, a bit like when an enemy has Frenzy and attacks out of turn. Storm’s Midnight Suns legendary ability is Hellstorm. Hellstorm targets one enemy with Storm’s offense multiplied by 1.5 for each Storm card in hand. She will have other powerful abilities but they are not shown in this gameplay showcase. Storm also brings a new Abbey upgrade for the THREAT Room, allowing players to customise how many heroes are can be sent in and the enemy types.
Last week, it was confirmed that Marvel’s Midnight Suns would be released on PS4 and Xbox One on May 11th. However, the Nintendo Switch version of the game was cancelled, and while a reason was not given it has been speculated that it was due to the technical limitations of Nintendo’s console.
