Warning! Spoilers ahead for Avengers #58
The latest issue of Marvel Comics' Avengers reveals that Earth's Mightiest Heroes are looking to join forces with their ancient ancestors. A concept introduced at the very beginning of Jason Aaron's run back in 2018, a team of Avengers has existed as far back as 1,000,000 B.C. Now, the present-day Avengers are embarking on a brand new time-travel mission to find these early-era heroes (before it's too late).
In previous issues of Avengers from Jason Aaron and Javier Garrón, the Avengers have become aware that Mephisto is making big moves and has been building up to a major offensive for years behind the scenes. Now, Mephisto is so confident in his future victory that he's openly revealed his Council of Red to the Avengers, a legion of Mephistos from across the multiverse who've come together to wipe out Earth-616, a reality that holds a special place in the Marvel multiverse. Understanding that they're in desperate need of backup, it looks as though Earth Mightiest are now looking to the past.

As confirmed by the Samurai of Vengeance, the Avengers of the present are trying to get to the Origin Point, the era where heroes were first born and assembled as a force for good. This is where the Avengers will find the Avengers of 1,000,000 B.C such as the first Black Panther, Phoenix, Ghost Rider, Sorcerer Supreme, Starbrand, Iron Fist, and Odin
