The Avengers of the Wild West Assemble in New Marvel Preview

In a new preview for Marvel Comics' Avengers, Earth Mightiest Heroes will assemble with their predecessors from the Wild West. Taking place all throughout the past, the Avengers have been time-traveling in search of the genesis point of heroes, looking for the very first Avengers who are in currently danger of being destroyed by the demon lord Mephisto. Now, this new preview teases that the Avengers will be reaching the new frontier (complete with showdowns, six-shooters, and saloons).
In previous issues of Avengers from Jason Aaron and Javier Garrón, Earth Mightiest Heroes are well aware that Mephisto is planning something big, having outright challenged the Avengers and teasing the bloodbath that's to come with his Council of Red, a legion of Mephistos who've assembled from across the multiverse. Seeing Earth-616has a key reality unlike any other, Mephisto and his allies are searching for the origin point when Avengers first assembled to protect the world. While these Ancient Avengers have been seen before in Aaron's run, it looks as though Mephisto and the modern-day Earth's Mightiest are in a race through time to find them, having already visited the Edo-period where they met a past Ghost Rider who was a Samurai of Vengeance.

Now, the new preview for Avengers #59 is teasing a visit to the Wild West, home of Reno Phoenix and the Starbrand Kid.
