Marvel Comics is showing off a Wakanda without the original Black Panther, as a new series will feature the country without its greatest leader. In Wakanda, T'Challa will be exiled from his home, leading the likes of Shuri, Killmonger, and more Wakandans to step up in his absence. The comic will hit comic book stands ahead of Black Panther 2 in the MCU and could be a precursor to the nation without T'Challa.
Black Panther 2 will release later this year, which might not feature a new hero as Black Panther following the tragic death of star Chadwick Boseman. There's been plenty of speculation about who could carry on the Black Panther mantle in the movie, as Shuri, M'Baku, and even Killmonger have all been names mentioned to take over the role - if they decide to go that route. Regardless of what happens with the mantle, the film will imagine Wakanda without T'Challa. Now, in a completely different way, Marvel Comics will do the same thing in a brand new limited series announced today.
